Please Help Out this Homemaker

Ok so I need some help. Last night my kids had macaroni and cheese from the box for dinner and frozen corn. In my defense it was organic and at least there was a vegetable and they loved it. Rod and I ate later on after they went to bed. We try to eat together as a family but yesterday Rod and I had a late lunch so it threw some things off. I keep thinking in time I will become a good, organized cook who can rattle off 10 favorite well balanced meals that we eat on a regular basis. I've been married for 8 years now and I still don't have a regular weekly grocery list or time that I shop. I have a few things that I pick up regularly at Trader Joes, Costco and Target however I'm still ALWAYS at a loss for words when my hubby asks the age old question, "what's for dinner?"

Anyways I've had a blog idea brewing for awhile waiting for the right time to ask for participation. My serious lack of creative, nutricious meals for my family lately is demanding that it start sooner than later.

Since this blog tends to take away from time my family deserves I thought why not use it to help my family. Plus feeding my family is a major part of our lives and if I could improve in this area I feel like we would at least be moving in the right direction of being more whole. So my plan is to post a weekly menu for my household. I think I could plan out 5 meals in advance with one leftover night and one night out. This would also help my shopping and finances. My problem lies in creative meals with at least some nutrition since I do have growing small children that need all the help they can get. This is where you come in. I need some ideas. My problem is my husband does not really like chicken unless it's really good with lot's of flavor. He also does not like salad, tomatoes, avocado's or mayo. I on the other hand love the previous mentioned food items so I would still like to cook things with these ingredients but would also need to make something different for him. He likes one thing. MEAT.

So I was thinking if anyone is interested they could post their favorite family meal with recipe. If you're like me and you need help in this area on a regular basis than maybe we could figure out a way to share the love once a week. Let me know if you have any ideas how we could make this work.

Sounds like a plan. I need desperate help too. Now I just need to get organized enough to type up a recipe.

This sounds like a great idea. My family has about 10 to 12 meals I go through every week. It can be hard to get a big verity and make every one happy. At least twice a week I hear that I have made the worst dinner every from one of my older children.

I'm totally in. "What's for dinner?" is almost laughable at my house. I have a couple recipes to share. I think we should do a weekly menu and then everyone can customize it for their household.
