FINALLY

In case anyone has noticed (I doubt it) my weekly goals have been up for a bit over a week. Well I finally can replenish them with fresh, smack new ones because the Secret has been read and put away and the shoes are organized. FINALLY.

The Secret is overrated in my opinion. I'm planning on using it to help me think more positive in general but that's about it. Oh wait I also told Rod last night I'm going to start thinking about what to give as a thank you present to the rich couple that is letting us use their beach house for a week. Of coarse this has not happened but according to the book once you start thinking it will and acting like it already has presto it happens. I feel a need to spend the week out of my home laying on the beach with a few books and magazines while my children play nicely with their new sand toys. So we will see if "the Secret" actually brings forth "my secret wish." Seriously though I think Christians who read this book need to be very careful they don't let it draw them away from God.

Organizing my shoes took me a whole whopping 10 minutes or so. If I knew it was going to be this easy I would have tackled it the day I actually set the goal. I think this picture may get the award for worst, most boring picture posted on my blog but Lauren requested it and I don't want to let her down.



So here are my new goals. Write and mail thank you cards, finish Velvet Elvis and start Vital Friends. I know my goals seem simple but obviously after the last ones even simple goals can be a challenge for this girl. Today Rod came home from work early with Entenmans and a movie for Rhett. Emmie is napping, Rod and Rhett are feasting on rasberry danish watching Jungle Book 2 and I already know what easy dish I'm making for dinner. I don't ask for much but THIS is the kind of day I like. So on that note I'm off to have some peace and quiet and get some reading done.
