Please pray for my mom, Linda. Over 2 months ago she was told she had busted her eardrum. She has been on antibiotics off and on continually for it and although her eardrum has healed she still cannot hear out of her ear at all and has constant ringing in her ear. She also struggles with dizziness off and on.
She saw a specialist today who did a series of tests and told her he does not think her hearing will ever come back and her other ear does not look good either. He also said the constant sounds she hears will never go away. He's not sure what happened and wants her to have an MRI. He gave her a steroid shot in her ear and another strong antibiotic to try to help her hearing one last time but does not think it will work. These steroids are supposed to make her very cranky.
Please pray for her that the steroids/medication will help her hearing kick in and she will not have any negative side effects from them. She goes back on Monday to have her hearing tested again. Please also pray they would not find anything on the MRI. The appointment today was overall discouraging to her so please pray she would be encouraged.
