This morning around nine o'clock my friend Ingvild came over because she understands my need for all things clean and clutter free. While the boys watched cartoons and played in the other room we went busy cleaning out closets. She cleaned out all of Emersen's drawers which hadn't been done since she was born. She also helped me sort through my own closet and drawers. After lunch she took Rhett to the park so I could finish up while Emmie napped.
Now as I type this my room is almost as clean as the day we moved into this house before we put the furniture in it. I've mentioned before how much I like a clean house. I'm sure whoever wrote the ancient proverb "cleanliness is next to godliness" had something deeper in mind than a house clear of happy meal toys and closets clean enough so the doors can finally shut. However I believe wholeheartedly in the phrase. Today I will be a better wife, a better mom, a better person all around because my home feels more organized. That and the unselfish giving of a good friend.

This post reminded me of Michael Scott in the hospital room with Meredith when he was telling her she should forgive him for hitting her with his car. "Like they say in the bible...forgiveness is next to godliness!" AWESOME. I'm really glad your closets are clean. That is a really good feeling!!
That's what she said!!
